Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed February 19, 2004Lassarina Aoibhell says: "On the one hand, it is made by Square Enix and says FF in the title. The dressphere system sounded like a really cool variation on the various FF games that have included job classes (FF1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and Tactics to name some.) I was intrigued. On the other hand, FFX-2 looked a whole lot like ''Let's play dress-up!'' and Yuna's new costume made me skeptical. I absolutely could not picture the uncertain, apologetic Lady Summoner running around a la Lara Croft, and I really wanted to know how Square Enix was justifying the transformation." |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed August 22, 2004Sho says: "I consider it a rather strange occurrence when the resulting product is not only a disappointment, but seems like it was intentionally developed as a way to slap everyone who enjoyed the original game right in the face. " |
Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed April 21, 2005darketernal says: "Final Fantasy.... you may like it, or you may hate it, but the fact is that you've heard of it. No matter if your gaming habits are centered around consoles, or not, the chances are that you will have heard of the Final Fantasy series on number of occasions. " |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed April 24, 2004denouement says: "Oddly enough, Final Fantasy’s first testing of the murky sequel waters is a sequel in the deepest sense of the word. Often when we say sequel, we mean it in the way that, for instance, Donkey Kong Country 2 is a sequel to its first part: simply a new story with the same characters and settings. Usually, video game sequels don’t follow directly from their predecessor, as producers don’t want to alienate potential buyers who haven’t tried the first title. But Final Fantasy X-2 is a true seq..." |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed March 18, 2005sgreenwell says: "Do you remember the music of the early nineties? It featured a wave of experimental genres and new hybrids, at least compared to the music of the eighties. From Seattle, the raw sound of Nirvana refined the rougher edges of punk, paving the way for later acts such as Green Day, which itself was a hybrid of British punk and “new” alternative. The Black Crowes tried a new fusion of Southern blues with rock and roll. Rage Against the Machine combined political protest lyrics with an aggressive ..." |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed July 08, 2005siegfried says: "After the events in FFX, life resumed peacefully, with the threat of the extraordinarily hideous Sin gone. The setting is once again Spira and regions such as Zanarkand, Besaid, and Luca, albeit with several changes. The most noticeable one is that Spira is no longer the gloomy, almost claustrophobic world it once was where everybody was pessimistic and whining about their fate. People are now more cheerful, and it is immediately obvious Sin is nothing more than a souvenir now. To prove this eve..." |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed August 02, 2006skrutop says: "A lot of people were surprised when the first Final Fantasy sequel was announced, though it shouldn’t have been a big shock. Final Fantasy X was one of the most beautiful games created for the PS2 and had a rabid following among the legions of Final Fantasy fans. Adding onto that loyalty, the somewhat bittersweet ending of FFX left many without the proper closure they needed to move on. So the folks at Square-Enix threw a bone to their fans by releasing Final Fantasy X-2. " |

Final Fantasy X-2 reviewReviewed January 28, 2012SkylerBunderson says: "Having finally played and completed Final Fantasy X-2 after all these years, I find that it is neither as bad as its detractors have painted it, nor is it as good as its fanbase says it is. It's not as good as its predecessor, but it's far from being the worst entry in the series, as some would have you believe." |
