Borderlands 2's Mechromancer DLC hits Oct. 16 for $10
Don't worry: Pre-order customers will still get it for free.
Borderlands 2's Mechromancer downloadable content will be available Oct. 16 for $10, according to Eurogamer. Developer Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford reportedly made the announcement this past weekend during PAX Prime.
The Mechromancer, a fifth character class featuring a red-haired, half-human-half-mech female, was unveiled back in April. It's designed for folks who aren't entirely comfortable in their shooter skills, thus making the game more accessible to them. The DLC will be free to those who pre-order Borderlands 2, so, well, if you're interested, you should probably pre-order. (Free sounds like a lot better of a deal than 800 magic Microsoft point bubble things.)
The first-person "role-playing shooter" hits shelves in North America on Sept. 18, so get those pre-orders in soon if the Mechromancer sounds or looks like your cup of tea. And to hype yourself up for Gearbox's sequel, maybe you should give the Borderlands demake a try?
