The Cursed Crusade brings the curse to retail
Atlus has shipped The Cursed Crusade and the action game should now be waiting for your money at a store near you. If you've been looking for an excuse to step into the Middle Ages, this could be your chance.
The Cursed Crusade is available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC. For a limited time, Atlus is offering a discount of 10% off the price of the Steam version, if you're the sort of fellow (or maiden) who likes to hack apart your enemies with a mouse and keyboard.
If you're the sort who likes to have a reason for your violent behavior, the plot goes like this: some fellows named Denz and Esteban are inflicted with the Templar's Curse, a terrible condition that "threatens to accelerate their descent into hell, burning their humanity away as it engulfs the space around them in demonic flame." Besides that lovely sentence, today's press release also included reference to a tale of retribution and survival that is "sure to satisfy action gamers everwhere with its violence, gore, and drama."
Violence, gore and drama seem to be the building blocks of the industry, though so far the game hasn't exactly been securing the most favorable of reviews from the outlets that have chosen to cover it with reviews. It's probably best to give the game a shot yourself before trusting critics who don't write for HonestGamers, so you might want to give the demo a try. It's available on Xbox Live right now if you have a gold membership, plus there's a build on the PlayStation Network.
As for our review, one is likely on its way soon. Watch for it or something.
