Super Meat Boy passes million sales mark in Dec. 2011
If I were a slab of meat starring in a masochistic video game based on myself, I couldn't think of a better way to ring in the new year than throwing some steaks, burgers and meatballs on the BBQ and celebrating my game passing the one million sold mark.

I wonder if that's how Meat Boy (pictured above) felt when he learned his game, Super Meat Boy, developed by independent developer Team Meat, surpassed the one million sold milestone last month. The devs announced the accomplishment via their Twitter account today.
The platformer released in late 2010 on the Xbox Live Arcade and PC, and released on Macs in late 2011. It was recently (and arguably) the star of the Humble Indie Bundle 4, which managed to raise almost $2.4 million for charity. Oh, and have I mentioned that it's a pretty fun game, albeit, at times, keyboard smashingly-difficult?
Congratulations to Team Meat; they undoubtedly deserve it.
