Jak and Daxter Collection gets dated
You knew the Jak and Daxter Collection would be coming in February; you just didn't know exactly when.
You knew the Jak and Daxter Collection would be coming in February; you just didn't know exactly when. But thanks to Evan Wells, the co-president of Naughty Dog, creators of Jak and Daxter (as well as the more recent Uncharted series), we now have a firm date of Feb. 7 in North America, according to a post he made on the PlayStation Blog. (Europeans must wait until Feb. 22.)
The Blu-ray collection will run you $39.99 at launch, just like the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection before it, and will include the series' first three games in 720p and with 3D support. Oh, and trophies. There are more than 100 of them, "each featuring a unique variation on a design theme based around its mission type," according to Wells. Can you say, "Yikes?"
The PlayStation Blog has a sneak peek at some of the trophy icons and some of the trophy requirements themselves. Head on over if you can't wait 'til the 7th.
