Dark Dreams

I was reading a blog on dreams, and it reminded me of some of my own. Sometimes I have dark, sinister dreams. There's one I had recently which I haven't been able to get out of my head, it was so impactful. It's pretty graphic and sexual, so if you're not into that sort of thing, back away now.

The meat of it was that I ended up in a room with a beautiful naked woman who begged me to masturbate her using one of those mini-chainsaw knives that people use to cut turkey. Curious, I obliged, and then I turned the knife on inside of her. As her blood began to pour out of her nether regions, she just kept laughing and laughing. The dream ended around the time the knife had cut through her stomache and was going in and out, in and out.

Er... don't judge me!

Maybe I'll use this for a story one of these days. Or a script. I have wanted to shoot a horror film for some time, now.

There have been some pretty disturbing movies that have featured that sort of thing, I think, so having dreams like that would be an expected outgrowth of watching them. We're not really in control of our dreams--outside of what we experience beforehand and how we respond to them afterwards--so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Good grief. All the "dark" dreams I've had lately concern anxiety and insecurity, nothing like this. Wow.

Though I did dream once that there was this murderer who violently killed people through the media... And then another time I dreamt I was a demon and I killed my 8th grade science teacher, and liked it, even though I liked him. But these were ages ago... I actually wrote that first dream into a short story, too.

What made this dream stand out was how REAL it was. As if I'd done those things before and knew what they would feel like.

But to prove Jason's point, that's what I get for thinking about Dead Space before I go to bed ^_^

I once spent two years writing about every interesting dream I had. Most of them involved me either having sex with my ex-girlfriend's best friend or having some sort of surreal adventure on a rainy night (one of which included a text adventure parser!). I should start doing that again!

Also your dreams sound pretty hot.

My dreams involve nudity when they're good. When they're less good, they're actually pretty interesting sci-fi and when I wake up, I remember the dreams but don't remember ever reading anything quite like it. I have a very creative mind, even if it's not obvious from this site.
